When you use DashGrub, we temporarily store:

• Room codes and associated food options
• Voting preferences
• Display names (if provided)

This information is stored only for the duration of your session and is automatically deleted when a room is inactive for 24 hours.

Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to:

• Remember your display name
• Store your user ID
• Track which rooms you've created

This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers except as needed for room functionality.

Technical Information

Our servers automatically log basic technical information, including:

• IP address (temporarily, for security monitoring)
• Browser type and version
• Device type
• Time and date of access

This information is used for troubleshooting, preventing abuse, and improving our service.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the DashGrub service
• Enable real-time communication between users in a room
• Track voting preferences to determine results
• Improve and optimize the application
• Prevent abusive or illegal activities

DashGrub uses minimal cookies, primarily for session management. We don't use cookies for advertising purposes.

• Vercel: For hosting our application
• Supabase: For database functionality
• Pusher: For real-time communication between users

Each of these services has their own privacy policies, and their use of data is limited to providing the necessary functionality for DashGrub.

Room data (including food options, votes, and participant information) is automatically deleted 24 hours after the last activity in a room.

Local storage data remains on your device until you clear your browser cache or local storage.

We don't maintain user accounts or profile information, so there's no persistent data to request deletion of. Each session starts fresh.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

Major changes will be announced on our website or through in-app notifications.
